How would you describe your family and friends reaction to the celebration?

I think it would be fair to say that everyone at the display was simply overwhelmed by the experience. Over and over again I was told how much ‘more’ it was than expected.

What did we do particularly well?

The setting up was terrific and the chaps made sure we were involved and it was like a family affair. It felt very personal and close, as if they were in fact friends of the family and knew Mama well.

From my very first contact with Fergus I knew we had made the right decision. Fergus made the whole experience deeply spiritual, intimate, personal and fun. Mum would have loved it. Indeed I am quite sure she did! Many, many thanks.

They were really blown away by it. It far exceeded their expectations and thought it was a perfect send off and final goodbye to Mum.

It would be fair to say everyone was amazed. No one had heard of Heavens Above Fireworks before and had no idea what to expect. So many people said to me afterwards that they would prefer this to a burial.

(Julie’s husband Simon commissioned Heavens Above Fireworks to hold a memorial display for his parents, in 2007. It was held at his local rugby club. He was so pleased with the event that when his wife died he asked us to repeat the display for her.)

How would you describe your family and friends reaction to the celebration?

Even to this day, everybody who came to the rugby club still talks about the night. Everybody thought the whole event was ‘out of this world’.

From start to finish your staff were brilliant. The whole event ran without a problem. Can you thank all of your staff again for me.

I had a DVD made of the night which I have taken around the world with me. Everybody I show  just thinks ‘wow’. Thanks once again from me. You made the night truly special.

Absolutely thrilled, very moved. Everybody was so amazed at how spectacular the fireworks were.

Listened to everything we wanted and when you set up you were so ‘not in our face’ for want of a better phrase. Very kind and courteous.

For:  Joey (Corporal Joseph Etchells)

How would you describe your family and friends reaction to the celebration?

In a word ‘Fantastic’, knowing Joey as they did it won’t come as a surprise to say he would have loved it.  Noisy, bold and colourful.  People including Joey’s headmaster didn’t know this sort of Farewell existed, and he has decided that his ashes are to be in Fireworks.

What did we do particularly well?

The organisation and communication between yourselves and the local authorities was exceptional, we had no worries at all.  The stress and strain of the evening was felt only by yourself as we were extremely calm and we knew the evening was in good hands.

Nothing!!

The ease in which you deal with customers, your understanding, sympathy and support were fantastic, also the way in which you interpreted what we wanted into fireworks was amazing.
